Because of the weather Christmas in Las Vegas never feels particularly 'Christmasey', but there is one place in the city where you can find a little piece of winter. While we've lived here it's been my favorite place to go to get into the festive mood...the good old Conservatory at the Bellagio. There's nothing like a room full of Poinsettia's and enormous Nutcracker soldiers to remind you that, even if the leaves haven't fallen of the trees yet, Christmas is around the corner.
Santa's Sleigh, flying Reindeer, Giant Christmas Trees, and trains running in a circuit all make for a happy three year old.
The sweet ladies who took this picture of us in the snow tunnel we're doing everything they could think of to make Charlotte smile....
...It worked for me, but Charlotte was unmoved!
In search of a little more Christmas cheer we went to 'Snow in the Sqaure' at the Town Sqaure shops. Christmas Carols on the speakers, and pretend snow covering us all, and even better than real snow- we weren't cold at all.
Enough of pretend Christmas, we spent our actual Christmas in a very real winter wonderland, in Heber, at Ryan's Mum's house. Real snow, more Poinsettia's, stockings full of presents that this little girl was more than happy to open.

After the present opening came the playing in the snow, which seemed obligatory on a white Christmas. Ryan and his brother decided to build a 'snow slide' for the kids, which of course Charlotte had to help with:

And if Kyle and Kelsey were in it with Lucy this would be the whole gang. One day we'll all be in the same room at the same time!
