SUPER CUTS

At two and a half years old Charlotte finally had her very first, very long overdue, hair cut. She was probably more in need of it than your average two and a half year old, since she has three times the hair of all of the other little girls her age, but the idea of trying to keep her still and scream free at a hair salon was enough for me to continually put it off.

After all of the fretting about it, it ended up being pretty impromptu. I arrived at our presidency meeting to find that our Relief Society presidents daughter was visiting.  Her daughter who, conveniently, happens to be a hairdresser and, even better, isn't opposed to doing haircuts for free if you're one of her Mum's counselors. Once the business was out of the way she got to work.

Initially we set her up on a barstool and we had the bright idea of wrapping a poncho around her. It took us about three seconds to realize this wasn't a good idea; Charlotte pretty much lost it when she couldn't find her arms underneath all of the fabric. In the end, we sat her on the dining table with a lollipop and Katelyn's two year old son for company. Sugar and a boy- it worked like a treat. She was all smiles:

And even a whole inch later she's still rocking the longest hair ever seen on a two year old.
