I LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT

I suppose that since we started hiking and climbing with Charlotte when she was so little she could sleep through the entire thing, it makes sense that she's somehow unconsciously good at climbing now that she's outgrown the baby carriers. She continues to love the outdoors, climbing rocks most particularly. She always gets excited when we pull up at the entrance to Red Rock Canyon; she knows there's lots of 'climbing a rocks' in store. We revisited the sandstone quarry out there and were expecting to help her manage her footing, but it turned out that she was hard to keep up with.

She bucked it up the face of the rock, over taking one guy and his very slow girlfriend whilst announcing, "I'm climbing a rocks!" as she went.

She didn't stay still for long, and climbed from one ledge to another looking for the next exciting cave or boulder.

She slid down here on her bum and, though we were close at hand to offer help if she needed it, climbed right back up like she had Mission Impossible style climbing gloves. There was no slowing her down.

After a race back to the base of the rocks, situated in her car sear, she fell almost immediately to sleep, just like that little baby we used to carry around in the backpack would.

  2. Yes! That's me looking down from the top. Ryan climbed down with her but I was still about to have a heart attack
